Can we see pictures of a whole wedding day from start to finish?
Yes! In fact, you should always ask any photographer to show you a full wedding “roll” from start to finish. Your wedding photographer should be very flexible versatile and able to take great photographs of any situation, person or detail, from wedding party, to guests, décor, venue, musicians, vehicles and anything and anyone in between! As one of the best wedding photographers in Alaska, I work fast and efficiently, and I understand the flow of a wedding day very well. You can check out my recent weddings here.
How many pictures do you take?
This is a very common question I get. Here is my take on this: I shoot consistently during your event never missing an emotional moment. I never stop. My cameras as are always on my person and If I deem a shot worth the memory, I take it. There is a trend going on to provide couples with thousands of photographs, many of them almost identical as the current camera equipment allows that. I pride myself for being an artist and not just another photographer. Every shot is deliberate and intentional. Every photograph – a work of art. You will not be flooded with countless identical images. Quantity is never what I go for, and I do not count my shots. Your event will be documented properly and thoroughly and for the must have’s - we will create a shot list during our consultation. For the most part, your wedding will be shot in documentary style to ensure authenticity and originality, with some editorial nuances mixed in.
An average 8-hour long wedding will yield about 500- 700 photos.
When will we get our pictures?
Turn-around time is 3-4 weeks which is considerably faster than the industry’s average of 6 to 8 weeks. You will receive your digital images on a personalized flash drive. Your online wedding gallery of your wedding highlights will be live and ready to share with family and friends within about 4 weeks as well.
Do you edit your images?
All images will go through post processing and will be print-ready upon delivery. I use sophisticated software such as Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance your images in that true Vania Lynd trademark style.
High-end retouching will be allowed on selected images (up to 20). Generally, I do not provide AI or unrealistic photomontage work as this does not align with my philosophy of authentically documenting an event.
What if we have to reschedule our wedding?
In case of a pandemic, act of God, act of nature, or life hardship situation we will work with you if your wedding gets re-scheduled. Every situation will be discussed individually and there are no guarantees that we will be available on your new wedding date but will make every effort to accommodate you. If we are NOT available to re-arrange our schedule, this will be considered a cancellation.
What if we have to cancel our wedding?
Cancellations, up to 60 days prior to the event, with half of the total investment refunded may be considered on case-by-case basis. Cancellations within 60 days of the event are not eligible for any refund.
