This is not a place you can simply drive to or hike into. Access is through private land, followed by an overland journey and a small boat into a secluded glacier lake largely unknown to the public.
There are no crowds, viewing platforms, or lines of visitors waiting for the same photograph. The lake opens into a landscape of floating ice and blue-green glacial water, with the glacier and mountains ahead and nothing between you and the Alaska wilderness.
Only a small number of people are allowed to make this journey at a time. For an elopement, that means something increasingly rare in Alaska: the opportunity to experience a glacier without sharing the moment with tourist crowds
Getting there is not simply transportation. The journey begins overland, crossing wild terrain before reaching the water. From there, a small boat carries you upriver and into the glacier lake, where the landscape changes completely.
This experience is intentionally small. With limited space on the boat and restricted access to the property, it is best suited to an elopement or intimate ceremony with only a handful of people.
There is time on the water, time along the shore, and time simply to experience where you are.
Weather, water and glacier conditions are part of working in a landscape like this, so timing remains flexible. I'll coordinate the photography, timing, and private access so the experience comes together as one seamless day.

I'm not going to tell you I'm passionate about photography - you can already see that.
What you should know is this - I've hiked the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim in one day. I've rappelled into the canyons of Zion where no one had been. I've been caught in a flash flood. I've spent years hiking, climbing and traveling into remote places, Climbed Mt. Whitney multiple times, and enjoyed many multi-week solo treks. If your wedding requires boots, a backpack and a long way in, I'm probably interested.
I know where the light falls at 9pm in June, which glacier access requires permit, and exactly when to disappear so you forget I'm there.
