How It Works
Single-day elopement collections begin at $1,800. The final investment depends on the amount of photography coverage and what your day involves. Tell me what you have in mind, and I’ll recommend coverage that actually fits rather than forcing your plans into a predetermined package.
08. WHAT DO ELOPEMENT COLLECTIONS COST?
Every elopement is different, so I don’t promise a fixed number of images. You’ll receive a carefully edited collection of the photographs that tell the story of your day, with the final number depending on the length of coverage and everything that unfolds.
07. How many images do you provide?
Yes. I can help identify access requirements, photography permits, timing considerations, and other location-specific logistics. For activities provided by third parties — such as helicopters, boats, lodging, or tours — you’ll book directly with the provider, and we’ll coordinate the photography around your plans.
06. DO YOU HELP WITH PERMITS AND LOGISTICS?
Of course. An elopement doesn’t have to mean just the two of you. You can bring the people who matter to you and still keep the day intimate, personal, and centered around the experience you want.
05. CAN WE BRING FAMILY OR FRIENDS?
It depends on what you want to do. A simple ceremony and portraits may fit beautifully into two hours. If you want multiple locations, hiking, a helicopter experience, dinner, or more of the day documented, we can build additional coverage around it.
04. HOW MUCH PHOTOGRAPHY DO WE NEED?
Alaska weather is part of the experience, and clouds, wind, fog, or a little rain can make incredible photographs. If conditions become unsafe or genuinely prevent us from doing what we planned, we’ll adjust the location, timing, or plan whenever possible.
03. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Absolutely. Tell me what you’re imagining — mountains, coastline, glaciers, lakes, something secluded — and I’ll help you narrow down locations that fit your vision, timing, accessibility, and the kind of experience you want.

As soon as you have a date — especially for summer weekends. If your plans are still taking shape, reach out anyway. You don’t need to have the location or every detail figured out before we start talking.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?
I don’t promise a fixed number because every wedding unfolds differently. You’ll receive a carefully edited collection telling the complete story of your coverage, with the final number depending on the length of the wedding and everything that happens throughout the day.
How many images do you provide?
Yes. I photograph weddings throughout Alaska. Travel requirements depend on the location; if flights, lodging, boats or other transportation are necessary, those costs will be discussed clearly before you book.
Do you travel?
Six hours works well for many smaller weddings and covers the essential parts of the day. Eight hours allows more room for getting ready, ceremony, portraits and reception coverage. If your plans require something different, we can build coverage around your actual timeline..
How many hours of coverage do i need?
Yes. I’ll help you look at the photography portion of your timeline so there is enough room for the photographs you want without turning your wedding into a photo shoot. I’ll also coordinate with your planner and other vendors when needed.
Will you help with the timeline?
A signed agreement and retainer reserve your wedding date. The remaining balance can be divided into payments, with the final balance due before the wedding. Your specific payment schedule will be included with your proposal.
How do payments work?
Yes, when the wedding calls for one. A second photographer can be especially useful for larger weddings, simultaneous getting-ready locations, or events where additional coverage would meaningfully add to the story of the day.
Do you work with a second photographer?
Most couples book once their date and venue are confirmed. For Alaska’s summer wedding season, earlier is better, particularly for weekends. If you already have a date in mind, reach out and I’ll let you know if it’s available.

Multi -day commissions begin at $7,500 for two days, with up to 4 hours of photography each day that may be spread throughout the day. Additional days begin at $3,000. Travel, lodging and necessary expedition expenses are billed separately and depend on the destination, distance and activity involved.
08. WHAT DOES AN EXPEDITION COST?
Absolutely. An expedition can be just the two of you or include the people closest to you. If guests affect transportation, lodging, permits or logistics, we’ll account for that when designing the plan.
07. CAN OUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS COME?
That possibility is one reason expeditions happen over multiple days. Alaska decides some things for us. We’ll build enough flexibility into the plan to adapt when weather, transportation or conditions change, while safety always comes first.
06. WHAT IF WEATHER CHANGES OUR PLANS?
I’ll help with photography-related logistics, timing, locations and what is realistically possible, but I’m not a tour operator or travel agent. Flights, accommodations, guides, charters and activities are booked with the appropriate providers. We’ll coordinate everything so the photography fits naturally into the experience.
05. DO YOU PLAN THE TRIP FOR US?
No. Necessary transportation, lodging and travel-related expenses are separate from the photography commission. Once we know where we’re going and what the experience involves, those costs will be outlined clearly before you commit
04. ARE TRAVEL AND LODGING INCLUDED?
Expedition commissions include up to four hours of photography per day. Those hours do not necessarily have to be consecutive. We can photograph the parts of each day that actually matter rather than having a camera following you from morning until night..

No. Start with the idea — even if it sounds slightly impossible. Tell me where you want to go or what you imagine doing, and we’ll figure out what it would take to make it happen.
